Unbroken is the name of an American war drama production that Angelina Jolie produced and directed. The movie is based off of a non-fiction book that was written by Laura Hillenbrand.
The film focuses on the story of Louis “Louie” Zamperini who is both an athlete and a USA Olympian. Louie managed to survive being in a raft for nearly 50 days after his bomber went down during the World War II. He was also sent to a number of different prisoner of war camps.
The film was released in Sydney in November of 2014 and was released in the United States on Christmas day in 2014. This is a film that has received very mixed reviews from film critics. The entire film tells a very inspiring and heart-wrenching story about how one man was able to endure and survive so much while still coming out on top. At the very end of the movie, you will enjoy a very touching slideshow with real pictures of what happened during the war and what these prisoner’s of war were forced to go through at these camps.
